Hershey’s Chocolate: It has Delighted Millions of Americans

Hershey’s chocolates are very popular American chocolates that were the brainchild of Milton Hershey. Milton Hershey was the founder and owner of Hershey Chocolate Company, which began to produce Hershey’s chocolates in bars, wafers as well as other shapes from 1900 onwards. It is interesting to note that Hershey’s business was so successful that there is now an area of Pennsylvania named Hershey Pennsylvania.

Through mass production, Hershey was able to lower the cost and make milk chocolates, that were once the sole preserve of the wealthy, affordable to the common man. The early Hershey’s chocolate was advertised as being a confection that was palatable, and also a nourishing food.

It Began with Hershey’s Kisses

One of the first of Hershey’s chocolates was named Hershey’s Kisses. After first being individually wrapped, they later became machine wrapped in 1921. This technology resulted in the familiar “plume” at the top, so that one could associate it readily as being a genuine Hershey’ Kiss. The company continued to expand over the next two decades, and added many products that included the Krackel bar.

When World War II erupted, Hershey Chocolate Corporation was producing millions of chocolates for the military. After many changes including a change of name, today the Hershey Company is a leading North American manufacturer of chocolate, as well as non-chocolate confectionary. Whatever type of Hershey’s chocolate one tries, there is no doubt that it will make one happy and be sure to make its consumption a treat to relish.

One can always present the Hershey’s chocolate as a gift whatever the season is, and being so delicious is bound to tempt one into trying it out for oneself as well. Hershey’s chocolate is available in many indulgent flavors and is sure to meet every taste preference. There are many Hershey’s chocolates that are unique in their shapes such as the Hershey’s Kisses, and are a favorite with most Americans. There are even miniature chocolate bars that mean a little something for everyone.

With so many different varieties to choose from,  Hershey’s chocolate can suit every palate. With rich combinations that may contain peanuts in milk chocolates, the decision as to which flavor to choose may already have been made for you. It is no wonder that Americans find it uniquely satisfying in texture as well as taste, and they often make for a rich fare that would delight every palate.
